On December 2nd 2017 the annual Christmas in the Village celebrated Christmas with a tree lighting, carolers, and other events including this one with Steven H. Kitchin. Mr. Kitchin who is the selectmen for the town read The Night Before Christmas to a few children at the Swansea Public Library.
